My name is Karen Truempy. I wanted to post a message on your website but the page came up as "not found".
My Great Grandmother was a Birman who lived in NJ. I've been trying to find some information on the family but with no luck. Here is the information that I have. I would appreciate your help in posting this on your website. Thanks!
Matilda Marie Birman(1894-1953): Father: Jacob Birman (or John Zachariah Birman). Mother: Amelia Loungraf (b. 1868, immigrated 1881).
Matilda Birman married Charles Dinkel (1884 [or 1895]-1954). Charles' parents were John and Margaret Dinkel (probably from Germany). (Matilda and Charles are my Great Grandparents).
Jacob Birman and Amelia Loungraf had four children: Matilda, Rudolph, Anna, and Florence. (Rudolph married twice and had 5 children).
Matilda and Charles also had four children: Arthur, Alexander, Stanley, and Florence (my Grandmother). Florence is the only one still living.
That's all the Birman information that I have. I hope someone out there may have some information to help fill in the gaps.
