Hi Paul! I am Debra Rubin-Margolin, and I am married to Barry Margolin, who
is one of the grandchildren of Max Birman. Barry's cousin Ken Birman e-mailed
me about your family tree, and I'm so proud to see the history of my
husband's family.
Here is some info for your family tree about us:
Sandra Birman married Robert Margolin, and divorced him in 1970. Sandy is
retired, living in Florida, and her e-mail address is
sdboom@att.net. Barry
(and twin sister Michele!) were born on 9/27/67. Barry is a Chef in New York,
and he's currently working for LSG Skychefs at Kennedy Airport in NY. We live
in the Bronx, where Barry has lived all his life! His e-mail address is
BMargASB@aol.com. Michele is a 5th grade teacher in PS24 in Riverdale, where
we all live and my kids go to school. Her husband is Keith Borak, and he
works at Verizon as a Programmer. Barry's sister Lisa was born 8/5/62, and
lives in Riverdale, too!
My name is Debra Gail Rubin (now Rubin-Margolin), and I was born on 3/25/55.
Barry and I were married on 1/17/93. My parents were Rhoda and Simon Rubin.
My children are Rachel Simone Margolin, born 8/18/93, and Noah Max Margolin,
born 8/11/95. Rachel is named for my mother Rhoda, who died in 1975, and
Simon, my father, who died in 1993. Noah is named for my grandfather Noah
Rubin, who died in 1980, and Barry's grandfather Max Birman, who died in
1970.

I am pleased to share the news that my daughter, Rachel Simone Margolin, granddaughter of Sandra Birman and great-granddaughter of Max and Miriam Birman, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on May 20, 2006, at Temple Emanu-El in Yonkers, NY. I would be pleased if this info could be added to the family tree. In addition, we can update several other pieces of info about the family, if that would be appropriate.
