Dedication of the new wing

On July 8th, 2001 Congregation Tifereth Israel dedicated the newly finished wing to its Social Hall.  The new wing encompasses the Isidore Handler Hebrew School, a new Kitchen and Rabbi's Study.  The festive occasion was marked by speeches from former Presidents Madelyn Rothman and Addy Brittman and an address by Anne Smith filling in for current President, Aaron Novick.  Rabbi Barry Ulrych gave the invocation and Dan Slatkin provided a rousing violin recital.  Village Mayor David Kapell and Town Supervisor, Jean Cochran gave brief addresses.   Ed and Joan Prager unveiled the cornerstone and Sy Brittman buried a time capsule containing images and documents from the present generation to the future.
