The 2011 Journal Dinner Dance: A Huge Hit
Applause, applause, applause to Elaine Goldman and Paula Shengold, co-chairs of the 2011 Journal Dinner Dance, for another successful -- and totally enjoyable -- event. Toe-tapping music, a delicious Sound View dinner, and an array of silent auction items provided an upbeat mood to the festivities. Guests included Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell, a representative from Congressman Tim Bishop's office, and Greenport Mayor David Nyce, all who cited our honorees Dr. Micah Kaplan and Gayle Kaplan, and the Frohnhoefer family -- Captain Joe, Georgia, Kristen and Captain Joseph III -- for their many contributions to the North Fork and beyond. All attending particularly enjoyed remarks by the sons and daughters of the honorees, who shared comical as well as serious moments of their family lives together.
